Eligibility for Admission |
1. B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture / B.Sc. (Hons.) Horitculture / B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry |
The Candidate Who have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (10 +2 System) in Science Stream or Vocational stream in Agriculture as well as from Higher Secondary Post Basic Stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology(Group-B PCB) or Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics (Group-AB PCBM) subject from any statutory University / Board in Gujarat state or Examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University, having 45 percent mark in aggregate of science subjects and having English as Compulsory subject are eligible.
The Minimum requirement of marks in science subjects(Physics, Chemistry, Biology) in theory papers shall be as under : |

2. B.V.Sc. & Animal Husbandry |
The Candidate Who have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (10 +2 System) in Science Stream or Vocational stream in Agriculture as well as from Higher Secondary Post Basic Stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology(Group-B PCB) or Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics (Group-AB PCBM) subject from any statutory University /Board in Gujarat or Examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University, having 50 percent mark in aggregate of science subjects and having English as Compulsory subject are eligible.
More over, result of Gujcet Examination of current year is essential to prepare merit list. |

6. Polytechnic Programme |
The Candidate who have passed secondary school certificate examination (S.S.C.) having English as compulsory subject from any statutory board in the Gujarat state or Examination recognized as an equivalent thereto. |

Mode of admission ( Post Graduate Programme ) |
1.Eligible candidates will required to appear for the entrance test and interview at their own cost when called for.
2. For Master's Degree the entrance test question paper shall be common for all the subjects for respective faculties.
3. For Ph.D. Degree the entrance test question paper shall be drawn subjectwise.
4. The basis of selection of candidate for the admission shall be merit of entrance test examination, interview and as per intake capacity.
5. For purpose of eligibility for admission to Post graduate courses, a certificate as to satisfactory character and conduct from the University College from which the candidate has obtained the degree should be submitted along with the application. The decision of the Dean of Post Graduate Studies in respect of admission will be final
6. For MBA in Agribusiness Management, beside the entrance test, the merit list is prepared on the basis of Group discussion and Personal Interview.
7. The in-service trainees of Agricultural Universities of Gujarat as well as employees nominated by state or central Government or ICAR or deputed by other Agricultural Universities or Institutes are exempted from Entrance Test. |
Mode of admission ( Under Graduate Programme ) |
The University Impart residence instruction for the undergraduate courses at their constituent colleges with the eligibility and admission requirements. Under the semester system of education all the students are compulsorily required to stay in University hostel, except otherwise permitted.
Admission notice is published in leading Gujarati and / or English newspaper and also displayed on our website : www.nau.in and other state Agricultural University's website viz. www.aau.in , www.jau.in and www.sdau.edu.in near the date of declaration of results of higher Secondary School Certificate Examination. On receipt of applications merit list is prepared at University level by the registrar.
Candidates are selected for the admission strictly on merit based on the marks obtained by them in PCB subject in Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination. |
