Extension Activity:

            Extension activities like, khedut shibir, krushi mela, krushi mahotsav etc as are being organized at University level or as are directed by DDE office from time to time and are being carried out by the departmental staff. Extension activities are also carried out through imparting training and delivering lectures during training programmes organized by SSK, FTC, T & V, etc. for farmers, gram sevak and extension workers.

            Apart from above, advisory service are being provided to farming community on various soil-water-crop related problems through analysing soil-water-plant samples in the laboratory as well as through field visit of farmers\' plot.

            7000 soil samples were analyzed under soil health card programme during 2010-11. 425 soil, 86 water and 40 manure samples received from farmers and parallel agencies, sugar factory etc. during 2010-11.
