Combined Joint Agricultural Research Sub Committee (One for four State Agricultural Universities)

            This is the apex body to finalize the research recommendations at state level as well as the new technical programmes. The meeting is held annually at the venues in the rotational mode. The members of this committee include Hon'ble Vice Chancellors, Director of Research, Director of Extension Education, Associate Directors of Research, Conveners of various AGRESCO Sub-Committees, and senior scientists of various disciplines of all State Agricultural Universities viz., Navsari, Junagath, Anand and SardarkrushinagarDantiwada Agricultural University. The Hon. Chief Secretary, Department of Agriculture and cooperation, Govt. of Gujarat, Director of Agriculture, Director of Horticulture, Director of Animal Husbandry are members this meeting. Hon'ble Minister of Agriculture and Cooperation, Govt. of Gujarat chairs this meeting. Separate sessions are organized discipline-wise, in which conveners of various AGRESCO sub committees of different universities present the reports of their respective universities. In the concluding session, the conveners from each sub-committee present the final report of research in the meeting. The output of research in the form of recommendations/technologies is published in the form of proceedings and supplied to the all concerned and line departments for implementation.
